Willowbridge Cabernet/Merlot Dragonfly 2020

A year ago, we were able to grab a few cases of Shiraz from this winery for our last BOGO sale. The distributor recently found a dozen cases of their Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot and offered us the same deal. After a quick taste, we were sold—so here you go.

The winery sits on the Darling Range of mountains, southeast of Perth in Western Australia. The climate is perfect for growing grapes: dry, sunny, and warm. This vineyard is farmed organically and is well-known for producing balanced, elegant wines. Their six-year-old blend is perfect right now, with notes of dried red plums, black currants, soy sauce, leather, and black pepper. On the palate, it is round and soft, with a faint dusting of tannins and a little earthiness in the finish. Best enjoyed in 2026 or 2027.
