Tortoise Creek is also from the Master family, but made in California in conjunction with our friends Richard Bruno and Chris Condros of Vinum. With this release the brand has new packaging and frankly the wines are better too. Since Pinot Noir is such a versatile wine with so many foods it just feels right to roll this out for Easter. You do not need to think too much about this wine, just pour a glass and the cherries, vanilla and graham crackers just pop right out. The palate is soft and lush, with round, oak kissed edges. Drink with roast chicken, lamb, or salmon, it really is that versatile!
