Tarlant Champagne Rose Zero Brut Nature

Unlike most houses who simply add red wine to their normal offering for Rose, Benoit crafts this wine to stand alone. It uses mostly Chardonnay with a few barrels of Meunier red added to build color. This disgorgement is 80% from the 2017 vintage and 20% reserve wine from a five year blend.

Enticing aromas of caraway seed, pink peppercorn, cooked rhubarb, bitter orange; dense, almost tannic on the palate with deep structure and stiffer frame than the Nature, long and savory. This wine will be best with salmon or tuna as it needs a little protein to show best.
