Part of the reason is this wine spends time in actual oak barrels, not in tank with oak chips, so the result is richer and more rounded. The nose gushes with notes of fresh black raspberry and dark cherries followed by background hints of milk chocolate and coffee beans. The palate is soft and supple, with enough weight to know you are drinking Cab but light enough to complement pork and chicken as well as red meat.
