It’s not every day you find Chablis pedigree at a weeknight price. The Seguinot-Bordet family has been rooted in Maligny since the 1500s, crafting mineral-driven Chardonnay from the northernmost reaches of Burgundy. While their top wines bear the Chablis name, this bottling—technically Bourgogne Blanc—is made from declassified estate fruit just outside the appellation’s official borders. Translation: you get the same Kimmeridgian snap, the same sea-spray kiss of limestone, but at a fraction of the cost.
Vinified entirely in stainless steel and without a splinter of oak, this wine is pure, vibrant Chardonnay: crisp green apple, lemon zest, and a stony finish that begs for oysters or a Sunday roast chicken. Stock up—this is white Burgundy you’ll want around when summer really shows its teeth.
