Albariño from Spain’s Rías Baixas region is always popular, especially as the weather grows hotter but no less humid. Situated on the Atlantic coast of Spain, the homeland of the Albariño grape is cool and rainy, reminiscent more of New England than of the sweeping plains of Castile. This particular bottling comes from Bodega Viña Nora, a winery located in the region’s Condado do Tea sub-zone, which shares a border with Portugal. Albariño from this region is typically full-bodied and aromatic while retaining its characteristic minerality, and this wine is no exception.

All fruit used in this wine is hand-harvested from estate vineyards overlooking the Miño River. To maximize freshness and natural acidity, this wine is fermented exclusively in stainless steel and bottled almost immediately. When you open this wine, it delivers notes of green apple, Meyer lemon, stone fruits, fresh straw, and jasmine, making it ideal as a poolside wine. Drink it between 2026 and 2027 with grilled chicken kebabs, salmon, caprese salad, or simply on its own!
