Region: Gigondas, France
Grape Varieties: 33% Grenache, 33% Clairette, and 33% Cinsault
Les Pallieres is an estate high in the appellation of Gigondas owned by the Brunier family of Vieux Telegraph and their importer Kermit Lynch. They make one of our favorite Rosés using a blend of 33% Grenache, 33% Clairette, and 33% Cinsault, with the red grapes direct pressed and fermentation and aging in large oak casks. 2022 is the current release as the wine is aged a year in wood before release. This is not like a leaner example of Provence Rose, but more textural and aromatic, with notes of peach skin and strawberry kissed with Provencal herbs.
