Region: Vinho Verde, Portugal

Grape Varieties: 80% Loureiro, 10% Trajadura, & 10% Pederna

This wine is named for the sub-appellation of Lima within the much larger Vinho Verde growing region, as well as a nod to the river of the same name. The granite soils and Atlantic climate of the appellation create a number of unique micro-climates, which are home to grape varieties not commonly seen in Vinho Verde. This wine is a great example, being composed of predominantly Loureiro with equal parts Treixadura and the rare native Pederna grape filling out the blend. The combination of these three results in a fuller-bodied example of Vinho Verde which is not effervescent but still retains the characteristic citrus notes of the category.

When you open this wine you will want to serve it well chilled, but not ice-cold. Once opened it displays notes of peeled green apple, honeydew, kaffir lime, mint leaf, and wet stones. Drink 2025-2026 with soft cheeses, tinned fish and crackers, fruit salads, or all by itself!
