Lava Cap’s Zinfandel comes from high-elevation vineyards in El Dorado, where many of the vines are over 45 years old and rooted in volcanic soils. That altitude helps keep the wine fresher than the jammy style Zinfandel can fall into, with blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, spice and bright acidity carrying through the finish.
