Grape Varieties: 80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Franc

This is a new age wine produced by the historic Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. They are taking advantage of the current climate to produce a wine that shows their stunning house style at an everyday price. (Their flagship wine sells for $85 a bottle.) It is produced from a mix of their estate grapes with some purchased fruit in conjunction with a negotiant to make a wine that is gorgeous and ready to drink.

Made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this wine shows the deep notes of black currants, red plums and tobacco. Of course there is the famed minerality of the great Right Bank estates, with those vines digging deep into the limestone soils. Drink 2025-2030 with pork chops, shish-kabobs or roast chicken.
