Fuso Flora Col di Luna

Produced by a family winery near Vittorio Veneto, at the foothills of the Dolomites in northeastern Italy, Flora is made entirely from Glera, the traditional grape of Prosecco. The vineyards grow on limestone and clay soils, and the family follows organic farming practices with a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar.
What makes Flora particularly interesting is its remarkably dry style. With less than two grams of residual sugar per liter, this is a bone-dry Prosecco, allowing the natural freshness of the grape to take center stage.
The wine opens with fragrant notes of Granny Smith apple, Asian pear, and delicate mountain flowers. Fine, energetic bubbles carry those flavors across the palate, while bright acidity gives the wine a wonderfully clean finish. Extended contact with the lees contributes a subtle savory dimension that makes Flora particularly enjoyable with food.
Serve it well chilled alongside fried calamari, prosciutto with melon, or a simple plate of fresh seafood crudo.
We particularly like that Flora challenges the idea that Prosecco is merely something to pour into a mimosa. This is a sparkling wine with enough character to enjoy entirely on its own.
