dried cherries, Damson plum preserves, dark chocolate, black rhubarb and white pepper

I have to admit that I was skeptical that a group of Bordelais could handle the fickle Pinot Noir variety but this wine is absolutely stunning, comparing with many $50 examples from Oregon. I make this comparison because the character of the wine is drier, earthier and more elegant than most California examples. Their fruit comes from the coastal region of Casablanca, and displays savory notes of dried cherries, Damson plum preserves, dark chocolate, black rhubarb and white pepper. On the palate it shows surprisingly textured and long, with a wisp of minerality that entwines the fruit into the finish. Drink 2023-2025 with grilled salmon or tuna poke bowls.
