Enovitis La Giro 2020
Availability: | In stock |
Region: Alicante, Spain
Grape Variety: Giró
The rare Giró grape is seldom seen outside of Mallorca, yet this wine comes to us from Alicante, a coastal growing region that was home to some of Spain's first wine exports. The Marina Alta sub-zone of Alicante benefits from continuous sea breezes, creating ideal growing conditions for this native grape. Giró is a pink-skinned grape variety that has historically been used to produce white, rosé, and red wines, depending on ripeness and winemaking techniques. In this case, we have a red example with notes of dried cranberry, strawberry leaf, and dried fennel seed. Drink now through 2026 with lamb patties, chicken with yellow rice, or seafood pasta with shrimp or clams.
