We are obviously huge fans of Beaujolais Blanc, an example of Chardonnay made without oak that in our minds sets the standard all other regions try to achieve. This example, from 30 year old vines, displays notes of fresh nectarine, Asian pear, gardenia, passion fruit and pineapple. The vineyard is only a half hour drive from Pouilly-Fuisse so on the palate it shows a beautiful interplay of minerality and oiliness that finishes crisp and dry. Try this beauty with poached salmon over a bed of arugula or with shrimp scampi.
