This wine is such a great deal that it may help to explain in bullet points rather than a paragraph to save you from reading too much. So here goes:
1. 2015 was also an amazing year.
2. It is 10 years old and perfectly stored the whole time.
3. It is produced by the kids of one of the most famous families in Chassagne Montrachet.
4. The wine was way too expensive when released but the importer has finally realized their error, now it is the cheapest Beaujolais Cru in stock
5. There are only 97 bottles available so don’t wait too long to get yours.
In all seriousness, this is a great example of what I tell customers all the time, Cru Beaujolais is best 8-10 years old in good vintages. 2015 is a great vintage and in the hands of the Blain family it is top shelf quality. The name Pierre Bleue designates the vines come from a block on the rare blue granite of the region, which adds extra dimension to the wine. We have it open until it sells out so stop in and get yours soon.
