Chateau Sancerre Petite Connetable Sauvignon Blanc 2023

The historic Chateau de Sancerre is a sprawling estate with holdings in the best parts of the Sancerre commune. In addition to making incredible terroir driven Sancerre bottlings they also craft this from young vines and vineyards that lie outside of the designated area. It is a perfect example of “Sancerre-light” displaying a charming sense of fruit and undertone of minerality.

Serve chilled and this wine leaps from the glass with grapefruit, passionfruit and subtle grassiness along with a kiss of persimmon and guava paste. The palate has nice texture and a nice pop of restrained, citrus dominant fruit that carries into the finish. This is great cocktail wine or serve with a cheese and charcuterie board or pan fried tilapia.
