Region: Bordeaux, France

Grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon

This small estate from the famed cru of Pauillac is owned by the Quie family, who also own classified Châteaux Croizet Bages (Pauillac) and Rauzan-Gassies (Margaux), as well as Château Bel Orme Tronquoy-de-Lalande in the Haut-Médoc. There is little information available online about this wine, except that it is predominantly Merlot rather than Cabernet Sauvignon, which is unusual for a Grand Vin in Pauillac. This suggests that it may be an unofficial second label of Croizet Bages.

The wine exhibits an exquisite aroma of black currants, dried rose petals, red plums, and hawthorn. It has a good texture with moderate tannins. Although not well-known, it represents excellent value for Pauillac.
