This wine is 90% Carignan and 10% Syrah, so it is juicy and bright with more texture and richness than you might expect. Hailing from the foothills of the Central Massif there is also a minerality that makes it a lovely quaffer and yet surprisingly serious wine for all sorts of dishes from curry to ratatouille.
