While driving through this area after a particularly violent storm in 1973, the legendary André Lurton took note of a devastated a plot of young pines. He notices that the tree roots are covered in stones, indicating a rare gravelly terroir, perfect for growing world class grapes. He quickly purchased the estate and today it represents one of the greatest values in the commune of Pessac Leognan.

The red is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, showing notes of red and black currants, toasted panko bread crumbs, truffle and dark chocolate. It is very polished and smooth with a touch of tannin on the finish. Good now, this wine will age for up to five years.
