Charles Audoin was one of the champions in bringing the wines from the village of Marsannay out from the shadow of neighboring Gevrey-Chambertin. Today his son, Cyril, carries on the tradition crafting mind-blowing examples from old vines. This bottling produced from century old Aligote vines may be the best example we have tasted in some time. Fermented and aged in a single 500L neutral oak barrel, this wine explodes with green apple, lemon peel, lemon grass and coriander. Drink 2026-2030.
