Ch Parenchere Bordeaux Superieur 2021

Another TWM classic, Chateau Parenchere is a sprawling estate located at the eastern edge of Bordeaux in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. The estate was created in the late 1700s and was brought to its modern state in 1958 when renovated by Raphaël Gazaniol. Today the property is run by his son, Jean, and granddaughter Julia. This bottling is from the cooler 2021 vintage, so it shows more finesse than power, with a delightful herbal tinge to the high-toned cherry and raspberry fruit components. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a charmer that is perfect with skirt steak or cottage pie.
