Region: Alsace, France
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
The Boeckel family have lived in Mittelbergheim, one of the greatest wine-producing villages of Alsace, for nearly 300 years. Great-grandfather Emile Boeckel first began bottling under the family name a century ago, with an emphasis on single-vineyard white wines. However, the property’s Pinot noir, entirely grown on limestone and sustainably farmed, deserves equal attention! This is an easy-drinking Pinot which brings plenty of freshness and aromatic complexity to the table, with notes of tart red cherry, white strawberry, and wet earth. Drink now through 2027 with chicken and mushroom risotto, shepherd’s pie, or hot dogs.
