Champagne Baron Albert was established by Albert and his wife Beatrice after WWI when the region was devastated by the effects of trench warfare through their vineyards. After WWII they were succeeded by sons Gilbert, Gervais and Claude, who greatly increased their vineyard holdings. Today the estate is run by Claude’s daughters, Claire, Lise and Aline, who each run a different aspect of the business. They are well known for producing superb Champagnes that offer exceptional sense of place.

For their Brut Tradition the wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. It shows a rich nose of talcum powder, fresh green apple, pineapple and lime zest. The feel on the palate is soft and generous with nice focus and length. Serve with stone crab claws, seafood crepes or mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and garlic.
