cooked cranberries, fresh red cherries, rose petals, lavender and dried rosemary
One of their “grand cru” sites, this is a single 2 acre parcel planted in the early 1950s. The wine is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and the remainder is Graciano. The wine is aged in a single foudre that is older.
This wine displays a more red fruit focus, with notes of cooked cranberries, fresh red cherries, rose petals, lavender and dried rosemary. Where this wine shows pedigree is the texture on the palate, with surprising concentration and length. Drink 2026-2041.
