This wine is a great deal but do not wait too long, there is not much available at this price. Many producers in Washington State look not just to Bordeaux varieties but also Rhone grapes when looking at what is best suited to their climate. The Hedges family have done so with this white wine, which is an exotic blend of 63% Marsanne and 37% Viognier. For those who want a full bodied white wine this is a really cool example, especially for this price.

The grapes for this wine are grown in the Red Mountain estate vineyards of the Hedges family. They were picked in early October and foot trodded by Hedges wine club members with the juice drained to 50% oak barrels and 50% stainless steel tanks. The juice was fermented and left in those vessels until blending and bottling. - Tim
